There is a growing urgency in Canada and around the world to mobilize to take collective action to tackle the threat of climate change. At SPEC, we will continue to strive to educate, empower those to take action on the climate crisis. In 2020, SPEC, Simon Fraser University's Faculty of Environment, Participedia.net and the Vancouver Design Nerds hosted a series of five online sessions called Climate Change Reset: Learning from the Global Pandemic. These sessions examined the various ways the pandemic had shifted our individual mindset to provide insights towards creating a cleaner, greener and more equitable world. This work builds on the 2019 project: Climate Narratives for a New World. How can I become involved? Volunteer for one of our teams in the areas of food, waste reduction and energy and transportation, or at one of our upcoming events.
